Sami and Lauren have received extensive additional training in a variety of math, executive function, and social-emotional learning programs and methods. They are passionate about continuous learning and actively seek professional development opportunities to expand their teaching toolboxes.

Samantha Brand

MSEd, ET/P

Sami is a dedicated Educational Therapist with nearly 15 years of experience in education. Her career began at Mary McDowell Friends School in Brooklyn, NY, which specializes in supporting students with language-based learning disabilities. She taught K-5 and served as the Math Coach for the lower school. From there, she transitioned into educational therapy, offering personalized support both in person and virtually.

Master's degree in Special and General Education from Bank Street College of Education

New York State Special and General Education Certification, Grades 1-6

Association of Educational Therapists, Professional Certification

Bachelor's degree in Sociology from The George Washington University

Lauren Rubey

MSEd, BCET

Lauren is a passionate Educational Therapist with nearly 20 years of experience and a deep commitment to fostering a lifelong love of learning in children and young adults. She has worked at The Windward School in New York and Park Century School in Los Angeles, both renowned for supporting students with learning differences. After more than a decade in the classroom, Lauren transitioned into educational therapy, where she continues to empower students with personalized learning strategies.
